01/17/2012 : Washington DC – In a significant move, aimed at increasing the programming as well as visibility of the organization, Muslim Public Service Network ( MPSN) appointed Sabith Khan as their new Executive Director.
“We believe that Khan brings substantial International leadership, communications as well as strategic networking and non-profit management skills, which are useful to us. He will add tremendous value to our organization, as well as take our programming to the next level, and we are happy to announce his appointment ,” said Zahreen Ghaznavi, President, Board of Directors, MPSN.
Khan will lead in the process of re-envisioning MPSN’s role in developing and nurturing future American leaders, as well as build a team of people to achieve this purpose. He will also provide strategic insights to enhance the programming of MPSN’s “Summer Fellowship Program,” which for the last 18 years has consistently groomed young Muslim leaders, to take on civic leadership positions.
Khan is a graduate of the MPA program from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and also has an MA in International Relations, with an advanced Certificate in Middle Eastern Studies. He has worked in a variety of organizational set-ups in India, UAE prior to his graduate education in the USA – including a stint at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, India.
